I have the most wonderful house guest this weekend! She's what you would call uniquely beautiful.
This is "Babe." She was relinquished by her owner-an elderly woman who could not afford to take care of her anymore. When she arrive at the hospital Friday morning she was in pretty bad shape. She received an ovariohysterectomy, a dental (with one incisor extraction) and had generalized hot spots all over her rump. Because she was under anesthesia for so long, she was still really out of it when I left work on Friday night, so I was pretty worried about her. However, when I walked into work Saturday morning she greeted me with kisses (despite her discomfort).
Since the hospital is closed this Sunday I knew she would only be walked once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I felt bad for her, so I brought her home for the weekend! Sumo and Lilu welcomed her (after everyone had sniffed everyone), but Lyra is a different story

She fits right in! My guess is that this is the first of many furry house guests to come. Love it! Chris you are a great sport. Mom
LOVE IT! she is so cute, in her own little way! you're so nice to take in those less fortunate than yourself. and i agree with mom on both accounts, chris, you are a great sport and we know there are plenty more sleepovers to come! poor lyra...haha.
